Health & Fitness Disclaimer

Effective date: 17 August 2026 · Jason X Road is the trading name of Jason Xie, a sole proprietor based in Ontario, Canada.

The information on this website and in The Zero-to-One Handbook and any other material published by Jason X Road is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It reflects the author's personal experience, general training knowledge, and opinions. It is not intended to constitute or replace individualised medical, nutritional, psychological, physiotherapeutic or other professional advice.

What I am, and what I am not

Jason Xie holds a personal training certification from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). He is not a physician, registered dietitian, licensed nutritionist, physiotherapist, psychologist, or any other licensed healthcare professional.

Nothing on this website or in any product should be interpreted as individualised medical, nutritional or healthcare advice, or as a recommendation that any specific exercise, workout, nutrition plan, supplement or lifestyle practice is appropriate for you.

Talk to a doctor first

Always consult your physician or another qualified healthcare professional before beginning any exercise programme, changing your diet, taking supplements, or participating in any fitness or wellness programme — especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, have an existing medical condition, or are recovering from an injury.

This material was not written with pregnancy or postpartum recovery in mind. If either applies to you, get clearance and specific guidance from your doctor or a qualified pre/postnatal professional before using any part of it.

This product tells you to use AI. Read this part.

The Zero-to-One Handbook works by having you enter structured prompts into third-party AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. That has consequences you should understand:

Soreness is not the same as pain

Normal muscle soreness a day or two after training is expected and fine. Sharp pain, joint pain, pain during a movement, or pain that gets worse instead of better is not normal — stop the exercise, don't push through it. If something hurts in a way that feels wrong, scale back, rest, and see a doctor or physiotherapist if it doesn't resolve in a few days.

The screening step in the guide is a safety net, not a medical assessment

The guide includes a step where the AI is instructed to decline to build a calorie-deficit plan if certain answers or numbers suggest it would be the wrong thing to do, and to point you toward support instead.

This is a safety net, not a diagnosis and not medical screening. It is not performed by a clinician, it cannot detect anything reliably, and it can be talked past by anyone who wants to. Do not treat passing it as evidence that a deficit is safe for you, and do not treat failing it as a diagnosis. Either way, the right next step is a conversation with a doctor.

If you are struggling with food, eating, or your relationship with your body, please talk to someone qualified. In the US and Canada, the National Alliance for Eating Disorders operates a free helpline staffed by licensed clinicians: allianceforeatingdisorders.com.

Assumption of risk

Participation in exercise, fitness, nutrition and wellness activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, allergic reactions, physical complications and other adverse health outcomes. By accessing, downloading or using this website or any product from Jason X Road, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation and acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own health, safety, decisions and actions.

Results vary. Nothing here is a guarantee.

Any results described are personal to the individual described and are not a promise of what you will achieve. Individual outcomes vary based on genetics, age, training history, nutrition, consistency, effort, medical history, body composition, sleep, stress and many other factors. No specific physical, health or fitness outcome is guaranteed. This material gives you a framework and a set of questions; the work and the results are yours.

Adults 18 and over

This website and all Jason X Road products are intended for adults aged 18 and older and are not directed at minors. By using them you confirm you are at least 18. If you are under 18, please do not use them — talk to a parent, guardian, doctor or qualified coach instead.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jason Xie and Jason X Road disclaim all liability for any injuries, losses, damages, claims, liabilities, costs, expenses or adverse outcomes arising directly or indirectly from the access to, download of, use of, or reliance on this website, any Jason X Road product, or any output produced by an AI tool while following it.

Nothing in this disclaimer limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law, or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
